There are 500 unsolved murders in one police force area in Scotland, a Freedom of Information request has revealed.

HUNDREDS of murderers across Scotland have never been brought to justice, we can reveal.

In the former Strathclyde Police area alone, there are more than 500 cases where no one has been convicted.

The figure was revealed in a report by Scottish Information Commissioner Rosemary Agnew in response to a freedom of information request.
