More than 100 North Wales psychiatric patients had to go over the border for treatment because of a bed shortage here in North Wales.

The health board spent more than £2m in just six months treating the 113 psychiatric patients at “out of area placements” including ones as far as Brighton, Southampton and Woking between April-September 30 this year.
