A “staggering” 35,000 wheelie bins and recycling boxes have been stolen or lost in Liverpool since 2010, the ECHO can reveal.

A total of 34,870 bins, including more than 15,700 purple wheelie bins and 11,700 recycling bins, have gone missing in the last six years, according to figures obtained under Freedom of Information laws.
