Black and ethnic minority people are more likely to be searched by police in Gloucestershire a Freedom of Information request has revealed. 

The Gloucestershire Echo report:

BLACK and minority ethnic people are twice as likely to be stopped and searched by police in Gloucestershire.

The constabulary says it is now doing work to try and tackle the long-standing issue.

Freedom of Information figures show officers stopped 3,958 people last year, including two 83-year-olds.
