Some 11 children and adults in Bristol were forced into marriage, according to new figures from the Ministry of Justice.

A Freedom of Information (FoI) request showed 18 court applications were made between January 2010 and September 2015 for a Forced Marriage Protection Order. Only 11 was granted by the courts.

If someone is in a forced marriage, or threatened into one, they can apply for the order from a court.
