Night vision goggles and other items have been stolen from the military in Northern Ireland a Freedom of Information request has revealed. 

The Belfast News Letter report: 

A rifle magazine, advanced body armour and night vision goggles have all been stolen from military personnel in Northern Ireland, the News Letter can reveal.

The high-grade military items have all been stolen since the start of last year and come from a lengthy list of equipment taken by thieves

The list, released to the News Letter under the Freedom of Information Act, shows that numerous items intended for combat have been stolen. A separate list of lost items shows that 20 military identification cards and a top-of-the-range laptop computer were lost.
