One Pokémon hunter who went out searching for a Pikachu in the West Midlands nearly ended up getting much more than he bargained for according to police stats.

The local force have released details of incidents they have been called to that involves the incredibly popular smartphone game – and it makes for surprising reading.

Predictably one person playing the game was the victim of theft and another was assaulted but more interestingly a staggering six players so far have reported for causing a traffic obstruction.
