The mayor of Liverpool has been criticised for the expenses he has claimed, a Freedom of Information request has revealed. 

The Daily Star report: 

A CITY mayor has been attacked for allegedly wasting cash on civic lunches and junkets.

Conservatives said money paid out by Liverpool Mayor Joe Anderson was “wasteful and improper”.

They said he splashed out £4,518 on food for a “political rally” and £3,360 flying to Boston to meet the city’s mayor and to tour the Red Sox stadium.
