Children as young as 11 are among hundreds of people being reported as being at risk of radicalisation, the M.E.N. can reveal. Our exclusive figures, obtained after six months of investigation, show:

  • 350 children in the region have been flagged up as at risk since 2007
  • 63 were under 12
  • A sharp rise in referrals of all ages in the past three years
