Angry parents who are campaigning to save local schools say a council has not responded to FOI requests on time.
The Scottish Herald reports:
PARENTS fighting the closure of primary schools claim a council has failed to meet legal requirements to respond to Freedom of Information (FoI) requests.
Cost-saving measures by East Dunbartonshire Council (EDC) would see 24 of the authority area’s 36 primaries closed or merged.
The move has prompted what the council called an unprecedented volume of FoI work but parents say they are increasingly frustrated by delays to their requests for information.
