Camden council have spent more than £700,000 increasing the pay of bosses a Freedom of Information request has found.

Camden Council has spent more than £700,000 over the last few years on salary increases for top council staff, it can be disclosed.

After a Freedom of Information Request from LondonlovesBusiness.com, Camden Council revealed that £303,049 was spent in 2010, £258,607 in 2011 and £175,129 in 2012 on increases for senior council staff.

This comes amid wider figures showing that Camden spent nearly £2.5m increasing salaries for all council staff in 2010, with the total going down to £1,307,627 in 2011 and £1,038,491 in 2012.
