Hertfordshire County Council have been criticised over its response to a Freedom of Information request by the Information Commissioner. 

The Hertfordshire Mercury report:  

HERTFORDSHIRE County Council failed in its duty to disclose information to a member of the public, according to a Government watchdog.

In doing so, it breached two sections of the Freedom of Information Act – by failing to respond accurately and within the time allotted.

The authority received a Freedom of Information request by a member of the public asking “how much did it take HCC’s in house solicitors in hours or man hours – an estimation of the hours should be sufficient – to prepare” for six court cases.
